Do you know what they say about First Impressions...???

Here are my first impressions of the new Hot Oil Double Cleansing Balm from Beauty Pie 

So here’s the thing - it’s not exactly love at first use but that’s ok because sometimes things are worth a second try, or third...

What I like:

💛 gorgeous gold color & thick glossy texture - like a lil pot ‘o gold (a bit reminiscent of Elemis)

💛 totally perfect for face massage with my fave jade Gua Sha - gives me that spa experience that I adore

💛 rinses off so easily

💛 incredible ingredients like Baobab & Rice Bran Oils and it’s Fragrance Free

💛 leaves my skin feeling very clean - thoroughly removed my makeup (excluding eye makeup)

What I’m not sure about:

🥴 might be most ideal for oiler skin types?

🥴 might be a bit drying?? TBD

🥴 must avoid getting in eyes

I think I need more time with this one 😉

💚 My Experience: 

It’s like a mini spa-day in a bottle. Well, it’s actually a tube - a gorgeous green tube. The soft, creamy clay base dispenses easily - an ideal delivery system for the double duty exfoliation. I apply a thin layer to clean, dry skin & revel in the superbly gentle, perfectly scented formula and relax for 15 minutes to let it do it’s thing. (I apply any leftover product on the back of my hands 😉) Next, I add a bit of water to massage gently & rinse - I love that this clay mask does not dry down, stays lusciously creamy & never dries out my skin!

I’ve been using 1/week since receiving & experienced the most amazing results…

✅ Noticeably refined skin that feels so gloriously soft, smooth & renewed.

✅ Combined with other key products in my routine I have noticeably more hydrated & glowing skin.

✅ To me this is the PERFECT Clay Mask!!

My experience:

▪️This has a lightly tinted, peach toned color which combats the blue tones often prominent in those pesky dark circles. This actually acts as a very nice non-concealer concealer. I can just wear this or layer on my fave under eye illuminator plus concealer.

▪️I find the consistency to be sorta semi-dry gel that’s quick to absorb so I like to layer it over a rich eye cream and sometimes add that same cream on top as a moisture seal.

▪️The peptides, caffeine and Japanese knotweed in this formula help my under eye contour achieve a smoother look and definitely reduce puffiness!

▪️I’m happy to report that this does not sting or burn my eyes!

My tips for best results:

▪️Since I have dry skin, I like to apply this after using my favorite moisturizing eye cream. I let it soak in then add a small dot of this de-puffing gel to the palm of my hand. With my ring finger I warm up the gel a bit by rubbing into my palm and then very gently tap directly onto under eye bags and puffy areas.
