Healthy Scalp = Healthy Hair!! Full Review today of the updated GLYCOLIC ACID EXFOLIATING SCALP SCRUB from @theinkeylist {Gifted}

HIGHLIGHTS:

✔️ This is a very gentle exfoliating scrub!

✔️ It’s a pre-shampoo style treatment 

✔️ Utilizes chemical + physical exfoliators. The key chemical exfoliator is 7% Glycolic Acid. The physical is Castor Beads made from hydrogenated castor oil.

✔️ Balances scalp’s Microbiome 

✔️ I’d consider this unscented although it does contain a “masking” fragrance (Citronellyl Methylcrotonate)

EXPERIENCE:

Unlike other scalp scrubs I’ve used, this product is used on dry hair prior to shampooing. After evenly massaging on scalp, leave it on for about 10 minutes. This does not rinse out quite as easily as say a sugar scrub (which dissolves) however it does provide a gentle yet highly effective cleanse/scrub/exfoliation! I’ve found that after using weekly for a month that my scalp feels cleaner, stays cleaner longer and seems much healthier (I’m not picking at it nearly as much as usual, huge ➕)

🍊 ORANGE CLEANSING SHERBET

An incredibly charming orange oil fragrance combined with a lusciously thick texture really makes this balm cleanser a joy to use! I adore how viscous this is, not at all grainy like some balm cleansers & requires no “melting”. It’s ready to go and has plenty of gorgeous glide to really deeply massage into skin! With warm water, it transforms into a beautiful milky texture. Leaves my skin incredibly clean - removes all traces of makeup & SPF!! However, you should note that for me it takes me a bit of effort to rinse off and leaves a residue - so best suited as part one of a double cleanse routine!

Key ingredients include Organic Babassu Seed Oil & Sweet Orange Peel Oil. (4/5 Stars)

🌿 ROSEMARY Scalp Scaling Shampoo

Gently removes dead skin cells from the scalp to help reveal clean & nourished hair. Features Rosemary, Ginger, Basil & Oregano…Yum!

I love the herbal-garden fragrance of this one and how perfectly lovely it makes my scalp feel.

🌿 TEA TREE Purifying Shampoo

With key ingredients like Tea Tree oil, BHA & Peppermint Oil, this is an amazing choice to purify, balance & soothe an itchy scalp!

Has a delicate tea tree fragrance, not overwhelming - I like this one for a once per week “treatment” shampoo.

🌿 QUINOA Protein Shampoo

Ideal for damaged hair, this lovely protein-rich formula locks in moisture & helps repair hair cuticle. Features Quinoa, Tonka bean Ceramides and Baobab & Tamarind Oils. A delightful fruity-herbal fragrance, it feels very nourishing to my hair. Of all three, I think this one is my favorite!

Madeca Derma - a cream for dry skin!

Who has DRY SKIN?? 🙋‍♀️🙋‍♀️🙋‍♀️ #madecadermagiftedme their REVITALIZING CREAM formulated to moisturize and soothe dry, sensitive skin…and here’s how it worked for me.

Phew…that’s a lot!!

👉 MY EXPERIENCE:

This cream is a white, thick emollient that goes on sorta more like a salve and takes about 2-3 minutes to absorb into my dry + dehydrated skin. It definitely seems most ideal for dry skin types. To me this smells like a sweet rosemary, but that dissipates quickly. Only a small amount is needed - I use about a pea-size, gently smoothing onto cleansed/toned/essenced/serumed (😂😂) skin. My skin feels deeply moisturized after applying but is slightly sticky.

I’m very pleased that it works nicely with all my other products in my routines! I also really like this is as a sleeping mask 🥰

I would like to highlight the fact that this contains many EO’s which I find lovely & thoughtfully included but I’m not so sure if this is totally ideal for sensitive skin, especially if essential oils cause you irritation?

This is my very first #kbeauty eyeshadow…have you tried any Korean makeup yet? This eyeshadow palette is so cute with its playful coffee themed colors and pretty array of shades. 💖🤎🧡 The color story here includes 10 vibrant hues that are rich & warm but apply very light, not at all bold. I did have a hard time with the shimmer shades because of how much fall out there is - like it’s a lot of tiny sparkle bits all over my eyes & cheeks 😭😭 I think I need some tips & tricks on the best way to apply shimmers!
