Do you know what they say about First Impressions...???

Here are my first impressions of the new Hot Oil Double Cleansing Balm from Beauty Pie 

So here’s the thing - it’s not exactly love at first use but that’s ok because sometimes things are worth a second try, or third...

What I like:

💛 gorgeous gold color & thick glossy texture - like a lil pot ‘o gold (a bit reminiscent of Elemis)

💛 totally perfect for face massage with my fave jade Gua Sha - gives me that spa experience that I adore

💛 rinses off so easily

💛 incredible ingredients like Baobab & Rice Bran Oils and it’s Fragrance Free

💛 leaves my skin feeling very clean - thoroughly removed my makeup (excluding eye makeup)

What I’m not sure about:

🥴 might be most ideal for oiler skin types?

🥴 might be a bit drying?? TBD

🥴 must avoid getting in eyes

I think I need more time with this one 😉

💚 My Experience: 

It’s like a mini spa-day in a bottle. Well, it’s actually a tube - a gorgeous green tube. The soft, creamy clay base dispenses easily - an ideal delivery system for the double duty exfoliation. I apply a thin layer to clean, dry skin & revel in the superbly gentle, perfectly scented formula and relax for 15 minutes to let it do it’s thing. (I apply any leftover product on the back of my hands 😉) Next, I add a bit of water to massage gently & rinse - I love that this clay mask does not dry down, stays lusciously creamy & never dries out my skin!

I’ve been using 1/week since receiving & experienced the most amazing results…

✅ Noticeably refined skin that feels so gloriously soft, smooth & renewed.

✅ Combined with other key products in my routine I have noticeably more hydrated & glowing skin.

✅ To me this is the PERFECT Clay Mask!!

This luxurious mask comes with a luxury price-tag 🏷 US $98 🏷 I will be saving my pennies to purchase this one! It’s pricey but 100% worth!

Dr B Sun Shield

New Product Launch from Dr. Brandt Skincare 

Today I’m celebrating the recent launch of Liquid Sun Shield from the one and only Dr. Brandt!

They sent me their new SPF 50 Daily Brightening Sunscreen

to try out and I’m so glad they did! 

For me, I’ve struggled to find a mineral sunscreen (AKA Physical screen that deflects the suns rays) which wasn’t white, thick & sticky, so difficult to absorb with a kinda gunky finish...

So, this 100% mineral sunscreen was a pleasant surprise- it’s a new type of sunscreen for me because it’s a lovely, lightweight, milky serum consistency that’s not at all greasy or sticky and provides a totally invisible finish. I think the finish is my favorite part - so soft and almost a powdered satin finish if that makes sense.

Packed with great ingredients in a very elegant formula, this one is a splurge for those of us on a budget but sunscreen is definitely an ideal category worth the indulgence! I find that the Liquid Sun Shield is ideal for daily use for inside or just out & about, then for longer term outdoors activities switch to an active wear sunscreen which will make both last longer 😁😁 Of course, I field-tested this sunscreen on a hike and it performed perfectly, did not burn my eyes & protected my fair/quick to sunburn skin! A total WIN!

This is the most unique Micellar cleansing water I’ve ever tried! I love this most as an overnight mask for amazing hydration. Applied to clean & prepped skin, I use a small amount then gently press into skin as it oxygenates like with light bubbly action.

💛💛Pure Oxygen Radiant Glow Moisture Infusion: Created for tired skin - it’s a super hydrating cream that actually delivers on the promise of the glow! Includes highly stable Vitamin C + something called PHYTOxygen Complex which is said to purify & re-energize skin.

⭐️ Well, it really does give me a hydrated glow! I appreciate the light scent and a rich yet not heavy feel on my skin. I use this cream during am & pm routines and it of course is the ideal partner to the mask.

This duo packs a powerful punch, so I use it only once a month. As a 15 minute mask, I would recommend no more than once a week ☺️
